Different thrust configuration on blimps

We designed a reconfigurable gondola and motor beam that could allow us to test different thrust configuration efficiently.

The research questions that we want to ask and answer through the experiments：

  • How can different configurations affect the flexibility and agility of the blimp?
  • How can different configurations affect the speed of blimp in the vertical and horizontal direction?
  • Which configuration is more optimal? In terms of areodynamics, power consumption.
