Creation of robots is quite a time-intensive and challenging task. Using LEMUR's RoCo has now made the process much faster, simpler and cheaper. The goal of this project is to make use of this easy process to introduce robotics and teach basic Math and Science lessons to young middle school students.

To do so, Emily and I plan to find easy origami designs, write instructions to properly fold and use them and finally test it out on students of varying age groups with no technical knowledge. We will then enhance our course plan based on their feedback. We will also look at other examples of technology being integrated into education to make the creation process more fun.

So far, we have found easy origami patterns to start the students off with and then we will move on to more complicated designs such as the two-wheeled car. We built the car ourselves and started writing some instructions but then switched gears and moved to more simple designs. Origami design of the carCar

Instead of the car, we made a gripper but the material used wasn't sturdy enough to lift anything. So we turned it into a fun project instead and Emily designed an elephant with a moving trunk. We will now work on enhancing that design and writing up its instructions.
