Foray test of sticking between gondola and the envelope

This week I conducted test of sticking 3D printed gondola to the envelope which is the mylar balloon.

The material of the gondola is PLA and the material of the balloon is mylar.

The test assumes that the interacting surface of gondola is plane, however, the surface on the balloon is not always plane. We test two different type of surface of the balloon, one is nearly plane and the other is wrinkled, which is due to the manufacture of mylar balloons. I used hot glue gun as the media.

The connection between the gondola and the balloon is pretty stable using the hot glue, I cannot take it off using my hand.

I also simulation the configuration that having two additional gondola on the side or front and back, it turns out to be stable as it would recover to its stable position.
