The past two weeks have focused on finalizing the prelab for the characterization of the aluminum coated plastic in order to see whther we can successfully create traces using this material. We had to analyze what measurements would lead us to the conclusion that the trace patterns are electrically isolated as well as what measurements would lead us to cnclude otherwise.
To summarize, we designed an experiment which would check the resistance values of each individual trace , then the resistance with one lead on one trace and another on the other trace, and lastly one lead on an arbitrary trace, and the other on a random location on the metal sheet outside of tre traces. We also designed the repetition of this experiment in order to test the condition under which the material is folded. We do this because ideally we would want this material to have traces that can travel past folds.
