The RoCo team is planning to submit two papers with deadlines in early April.
The plan is to submit a paper on an interface for the co-design of mechanical and electro-functional structures to UIST 2018 and a paper on a unified design environment for multiple fabrication output forms for SCF 2018.
The main focus for the UIST paper will be what we have learned about designing interfaces for codesigns as well as some interface mockups. In addition, we will talk about our implementation of this interface, at whatever state it is at by the time we start writing the paper.
The SCF paper will focus around Wenzhong's work with creating finger joints and the flexible joints. In addition to paper and wood manufacturing, we also plan to include 3D printing as RoCo generates STL output anyway.
