At the same time I worked on modeling the critical force and critical displacement of the bistable beam, I also looked into the way these behavioral parameters affected the final output parameter of the system--the oscillation period of the mechanical logic. I integrated the models for the mechanical subsystem (i.e. the system centering the bistable mechanism) and the electrothermal subsystem (i.e. the system centering the CSCP actuators) and applied our quasi-static analysis. Based on the expression of the oscillation period as a function of the critical force and displacement, I generated a contour map--if we want a specific oscillation period and have some constraints for the force generated to by some actuator, we can look into the contour map and determine the best possible combination of critical force and displacement, which, in turn, give us a combination of the design parameters of the system.
