For Week 10 of Winter 2022, our team worked on the following:

  1. A new blimp design which is bigger than before – can hold 330g.
  2. A new capturing mechanism that can easily catch and let go of the green ball.
  3. A new search or go back to ball/goal algorithm that executes when the ball/goal is lost during auto control.

NOTE: The new blimp can easily carry the capturing mechanism with a digital servo and all our current hardware – ESP32 cam, featherboard, PWM servo and DC motor shields, and 4 DC motors. Setting up the new system took us about 15-20 mins. After setting up, we ran the manual control on the blimp. Below are the videos of us playing around with the new blimp design and capturing mechanism.
