Angela Gao is a sophomore at UCLA pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She is currently studying the properties of super-coiled polymer (SCP) actuators and experimenting with physical characteristics that can affect the properties. When she is not in the lab, she likes building cars for Formula Racing, watching Marvel movies, and training her cat to do cool tricks. She joined LEMUR in March 2018.

The project she has worked on is creating a mechanical oscillator for control in low cost and easy-to-fabricate robots.
